James Lee Witt and the many experts associated with James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA) have long been working to protect our homeland. They are some of the top experts in the world.

Before President Bush created the Department of Homeland Security, many of those functions were located in both the open and the classified areas of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where Witt served as agency director for eight years.

Programs such as Continuity of Government, Continuity of Operations, Critical Infrastructure Protection (IT protection), as well as hurricane, earthquake and flood prevention and response and recovery were all under the direction of Witt and his staff.
