GLOBALOPTIONS GROUP EXPANDS CHICAGO OFFICE WITH ADDITION OF CORTEZ TROTTER
NEW YORK - May 31 - GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOI), a leading provider of domestic and international risk management services, today announced that its James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA) unit will expand their Chicago operations with the addition of Cortez Trotter as their Vice President and Director of the Midwest Region. He will also be involved in the expansion of GlobalOptions Group's services in the Midwest Region including risk management and security, investigations and litigation support.
Mr. Trotter comes to JLWA after more than 30 years in public safety with the City of Chicago. He most recently served as the City's Chief Emergency Officer (CEO), where he oversaw the long-range planning strategy for man-made and natural disasters, and coordinated preparedness, response and recovery activities for the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC), Chicago Fire Department (CFD), Chicago Police Department, and Chicago Department of Public Health.
As the former CEO, Fire Commissioner and Executive Director of the OEMC, he implemented several nationally recognized initiatives including, developing life safety legislation, and building consortiums with financial institutions, building owners and managers, and other private sector partners. He has supervised the planning for and responses to train derailments, airplane crashes, extra-alarm high-rise and warehouse fires, massive power outages, tornadoes, and terrorist threats. Mr. Totter recently completed the inaugural class of the Naval Postgraduate School, Department of Homeland Security's Executive Leadership Program.

Also joining the Chicago office is Vicki Wilson, a former City of Chicago public safety administrator. Ms. Wilson will serve as the Deputy Director for the Midwest Region and brings over 25 years of managerial experience to JLWA with an emphasis in personnel and financial management. Prior to joining JLWA, she served in several senior management positions including Chief Administrative Officer for Emergency Preparedness in the Mayor's Office, and similar positions with CFD and the OEMC. During her tenure with the City, Ms.Wilson co-managed the renovation of the City's Joint Operations Center, assisted in the administration of the City's Department of Homeland Security grants, and oversaw personnel and financial operations at the OEMC and CFD. Prior to joining the City, she spent 20 years in healthcare as a consultant and finance and operations manager. She is currently a faculty member with the University of Chicago, Graham School's, Master of Science in Threat and Response Management program.

Mr. Trotter and Ms. Wilson will be leading the Chicago office in concert with Patrick Crawford, who established the office in 2002. Mr. Crawford will take on new responsibilities as Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Midwest Region.
