GlobalOptions Group Receives Contract with State of Maryland to Enhance Emergency Management
NEW YORK--Oct. 5, 2007--GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI), a leading provider of domestic and international risk mitigation and management services, today announced that its Crisis Management and Preparedness Services unit, James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA), has been contracted to provide technical expertise to enhance emergency management operations in the State of Maryland.

GlobalOptions will provide Maryland with technical expertise in a comprehensive review to update and modify the state's emergency management and response system as well as work with the Office of the Governor, the Homeland Security Advisor, and appropriate state agencies to examine the organizational structure of emergency management at the state level. The firm will also provide recommendations on improvement based on industry and government best practices.
