Led by James Lee Witt, former Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) from 1993 to 2001, our team is comprised of an unparalleled group of world-class experts who have decades of experience working both within the federal government and at the state and local level in all phases of emergency management.
Since the company was founded in 2001, these experts have played an integral role in nearly every major disaster that has impacted the United States, including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike, Charley, Ivan and Jeanne; and the Iowa and Indiana floods of 2008. Our professionals have been credited with expediting recovery efforts and providing assistance in all areas related to disaster recovery. Witt Associates provides on-site assistance in the event of a disaster (including staff and equipment), expert coordination and evaluation and estimation of damages. Witt Associates has also provided key support during the 2004 Indonesian Tsunami and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake.
Witt Associates offers a full range of planning, mitigation, and prevention services to better prepare organizations before disaster strikes. Witt Associates assists public and private sector organizations identify critical infrastructure, conduct gap and risk analysis to identify threats that could impact operations and develop effective Continuity of Operations/Continuity of Government (COOP/COG) Plans. Witt Associates assists clients with identification of essential functions and services, critical staff and resources and vital records and database requirements, and will assist in planning for resumption of critical functions on site or at alternate facilities.
Witt Associates provide clients with the knowledge and support they need to develop and refine plans and procedures that are compliant with the National Response Framework and National Incident Management System (NIMS), and develop and implement exercises that are compliant with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
Witt Associates is pleased to offer two General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Services (FSS) Schedule contracts to allow improved access, cost efficiency, and flexibility in contracting for not only our federal government customers, but also other authorized users of these contracts. Witt also has an aggressive teaming and partnership approach that facilitates use of other Government-wide or Agency-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC/AWAC's), such as HHS's Program Support Center (PSC) Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract where we are subcontractors to Maximus.
