In cooperation with the UN-ISDR, Witt Associates is working to develop public-private partnerships for disaster risk reduction at the community level in the Maldives and Pakistan. Such partnerships have proven to be very successful in achieving disaster risk reduction in communities around the world. Witt Associates also performed a general review of the Government of the Maldives' disaster management system and recommended ways to improve the country's pre-disaster planning, mitigation, infrastructure and expertise.
